This is a hybrid course. The theory portion of this course will be completed by students asynchronously (independently) online using D2L, our online learning platform. Each student must also attend at least one mandatory 2-hour Zoom session each week for the theory portion of the course. The skills and supervised practical training portion of this course will be completed in-person on the campus you are assigned to for skills.
Students must complete all asynchronous work successfully with a passing score of at least 75% on all quizzes, attend mandatory Zoom sessions, and attend all skills lab and supervised practical training days on campus.
This course will include weekly zoom meetings, online training in D2L and skills and supervised practical training. Each student must complete a combined total of 59 clock hours of theory and lab (skills) and a minimum of 16 hours of supervised practical training in the laboratory or other setting.
This course is intended for individuals who do not meet the Next Generation Nursing Assistant Course Qualifications for the FREE training:
- Nursing students taking the course as a prerequisite that do NOT plan to work as a CNA
- Individuals who are already working at a LTC facility
- Individuals who plan to work in ND as a CNA
- Individuals who plan to work in a hospital setting as a CNA

Expected Attendance Requirements: Students are expected to be in 100% attendance during classroom, skills, and clinical work experience. Any questions can be directed to your instructor regarding classroom or clinical attendance.
Cancelation: Class cancelations must be done five full business days before the class start date. No refunds for cancelations of less than five full business days. Refunds will not be issued for anyone registered for a class and does not show or attend. (No Shows – A no call, no show is an absence from the class without notifying Workforce Development Solutions within the required time). Space in this course is limited, we ask that you call our office as soon as possible if you do not plan to attend.
