Writing to Get Things Done
#: DEMZ1753    ID: 12417SEH    Section: 01-12417
Description:
This course presents principles of good technical writing and provides opportunities to apply them directly to current actual proposals and projects and get feedback in a structured, risk free environment. The course will focus specifically on actual proposals and procedures.

Writing to Get Things Done® (WGTD) improves participants’ actual on-the-job writing skills. Writing clear, easy-to-read emails, memos, letters, reports and proposals will be a primary focus, along with documenting the analysis of technical information in an organized manner as well as composing convincing justification for decisions and recommendations. The real power of Writing to Get Things Done is that people learn to communicate exactly what needs to get done and when, so recipients are not left guessing.

Learning Objectives:
  • Clarify thoughts before writing and separate the reader's needs from the writer's need.
  • Learn the language of getting things done vs. business speak.
  • Write technical information to non-technical people.
