Description:
George Frideric Handel made and lost two fortunes creating opera in his adopted city, London. With his career stalled, he thought of returning to his native Germany. Then an invitation from Ireland sent him into a creative paroxysm that led to the creation of his greatest work, "Messiah," debuted in Dublin. We’ll explore how he wrote it and what the music means.
