Prepare for a career in the fast-paced field of Healthcare Sterile Processing. Central Service Technicians work in hospitals and surgery centers to clean, decontaminate, disinfect, sterilize, and distribute medical and surgical instruments and equipment. With classroom lectures, lab instruction and a clinical experience, students will be prepared to take IAHCSMM's (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management) certification exam.

Classroom Dates: February 12 - April 29 | Monday and Wednesday, 6:00-9:00 pm
Clinical Dates: May 4 - May 15: Monday - Friday (*Must be available for both day and evening shift) 80 Hours (full time)
Requirements: Vaccination records and background check are required prior to clinical. Physical demands include standing for up to 8 hours, repetitive lifting of up to 25 pounds, and pushing/pulling heavy carts.
Course Acceptance: A satisfactory score is required on the reading comprehension Accuplacer test for registration. Complete the test in the Academic Resource Center at Anoka Technical College, Room 185. You are exempt from this testing if you have a college GPA above 2.0.
