First Aid/CPR/AED
#: 20-1219   ID: CTAC 8041   Section: 04
Description:
THIS IS NOT A HEALTHCARE PROVIDER COURSE

Learning Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) may help you save the life of someone you love. According to the American Heart Association, about 75-80 percent of all out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen at home. Perhaps it is time you learned CPR?

This class combines CPR, AED and First Aid Training in to one convenient session. Heartsaver CPR/AED with First Aid (as the American Heart Association classifies this course) teaches the skills necessary to recognize and provide immediate care for breathing problems, cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until medical personnel arrive. Participants will be certified by the American Heart Association for: Standard First Aid and CPR/AED for adults, children and infants.

Meet the instructor: Anita Mills has worked in the health care field for over 35 years and has been teaching Saint Paul College's Health Unit Coordinator Program for past 13 years, as well as the American Red Cross' First Aid/CPR/AED class.
