Nursing Assistant - HHA Exam

Description:

The two parts of the Examination, the Written (or Oral) Examination and the Skills Evaluation, will be administered on the same day.
You must pass both parts in order to be certified and listed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.

The Written Examination consists of seventy (70) multiple-choice questions written in English. An Oral Examination may be taken in place of the Written Examination, and must be scheduled verbally with the exam coordinator two weeks in advance. The Oral Examination consists of sixty (60) multiple-choice questions.

During the Skills Evaluation you will be asked to perform five (5) randomly selected NNAAP skills.
You will be rated on your performance of these skills by an Evaluator.

Candidates should arrive no later than the scheduled Exam time to check in and present identification.
Late arrivals will not be allowed to test and will not receive a refund.
No walk-in registrations will be accepted: you must register and pay for the exam at least two days before the scheduled exam date.
The fee you pay for the exam includes the Pearson Vue fee – there are NO additional fees.

MANDATORY ITEMS FOR TESTING:
 - Two (2) forms of official, signature-bearing identification (one form of which must be photo-bearing), such as a current Driver’s License, Passport, State-issued identification card.
 - Three (3) sharpened pencils/eraser
 - Watch with a second hand
 - Social Security Number (Your Social Security number is used for testing results identification and will be kept private.)
Application for Competency Evaluation Form signed by your instructor (Test out candidates will receive this form on the day of exam).

If you are re-testing, please bring your failed test report if you have it. 
Important: The class you are registering for must meet the requirements for cohort size in order for it to run. In the event of very low enrollment and when no other resource is available, the class will be canceled or rescheduled to a later date. You will be notified through email of such change. 
NOTE:
If you need to cancel or reschedule your exam, you must call at least 2 business days prior to the exam date.  Late Requests may not be accepted.
“No shows” will not be allowed to reschedule and will not receive a refund.
