We will trace the history of apartheid in South Africa, with Nelson Mandela as the central character. With immersive environments, such as a recreation of Mandela’s cell on Robben Island, Mandela promotes human rights with a central message: all people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. This virtual tour includes artifacts as seen in the exhibition, archival images and is narrated by our Chief Curator Arielle Weininger. After the video tour is a live Q & A session with a docent.
