This workshop is intended to prepare health and human services professionals to offer thorough safety assessments related to suicidal thinking and behavior. The focus will be on increasing comfort, knowledge and skill level with both assessment and safety planning, gaining better understanding of the individual who may be experiencing suicidal thoughts, strategies for self care while caring for others who are struggling or suffering. Course will include experiential exercises as well as some lecture, roleplay, group discussion.
Check-in on begins Friday at 3:30 pm. Class starts promptly at 4:00 pm.
