This presentation examines how race was perceived in America during WW II and how many Native Americans, Asians, and Hispanics were frequently mistaken for the enemy, both in America and in the Pacific Theater of the war. While centering on the experiences of the Navajo Code Talkers, the impacts for other populations and the causes behind these developments are explored, many of which continue today.
