This course is being provided tuition-free thanks to funding from the American Recovery Act to train nursing assistants to help with the workforce shortage. Upon completion, participants are required to work as a nursing assistant and additional incentives may be provided by the State.
Your healthcare career starts here! This Nursing Assistant (NA) course is approved by the Minnesota Department of Health. Learn basic nursing skills including how to take vital signs, provide personal cares and mobility assistance. Become prepared to work in nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities and home care agencies. Be guided by a team of registered nurses who care about your success!
Students who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate of completion and be eligible to take the Nursing Assistant Competency Evaluation to be placed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
This self-paced course includes an online D2L component and required on-campus lab sessions. Access to the internet and a computer is required.
Course runs December 5, 2022 through January 7, 2023.

NURSING ASSISTANT NNAAP EXAM INFORMATION: Full course requirements include successful completion of the Nursing Assistant NNAAP exam.
