We will examine the Middle East Region through the prism of EVOLVING ALIGNMENTS. Rival blocs have changed in recent years and that raises many interesting open questions. Will these changes impact overall regional tensions? Who are friends with whom and how durable are these alliances? How should US policy in the Region be impacted? A prime example of a relevant alignment change to be reviewed will be the ABRAHAM ACCORDS, which resulted in the normalization of diplomatic relations of former enemies. Can changes like this truly last in the most volatile region on the planet?
