Prepare for a career in the fast-paced field of Healthcare Sterile Processing. Central Service Technicians work in hospitals and surgery centers to clean, decontaminate, disinfect, sterilize, and distribute medical and surgical instruments and equipment. With classroom lectures, lab instruction and a clinical experience, students will be prepared to take the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association's (HSPA) Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification exam.
Class Dates: January 17 - May 3, 2024
Orientation: January 17 | 3:00 - 5:00 PM
Classroom: January 22 - April 15 (No Class 2/19/24) | Monday and Wednesday, 6:00-9:00 pm
-Class will be mix of online work, live virtual classes, and lab on campus
*Clinical Dates: April 22 - May 3, 2024: Monday - Friday (Must be available for both day and evening shift) 80 Hours (full time)
Requirements:
Vaccination records and background check (additional $10.50 fee if fingerprinting is required) must be completed by January 24. Physical demands include standing for up to 8 hours, repetitive lifting of up to 25 pounds, and pushing/pulling heavy carts.
