E-COURSE CERTIFICATE - Instructions for completing the e-course which takes approximately 5 hours are provided under the heading Enroll and Access the MSF ePackage1 eCourse towards the bottom of confirmation email.
(Completion of the E-Course is a requirement for this course).

Permit (Age 18 ) - If you are a MN resident, are age 18 or over, and intend to earn your motorcycle endorsement while taking this course, you MUST obtain a motorcycle instruction permit before your course begins.
Riding Gear
You are required to provide the following. Instructors are required to dismiss students who do not bring and use the protective gear.
- DOT approved helmet - half, 3/4 or full face as long as it’s DOT certified and says so on the helmet
- Long sleeve shirt or jacket - Does not have to be leather. A hoody in cooler weather or a long sleeve dry fit t-shirt in hot weather.
- Over the ankle footwear - Doesn’t have to be leather. Canvas will do as long as it covers the ankle bone completely and is durable (meaning it will give protection in a slide.) Also something that has a fairly good grip on the soles.
- Long durable pants with no tears or holes - preferably jeans with no holes.
- Full-fingered gloves - can be work gloves, mechanic gloves, doesn’t need to be leather.
- Rain gear or cold weather gear is recommended depending on the weather. Class will be held rain or shine.
- Eye protection - glasses/sun glasses/helmet equipped with a flip up shield that is down to nose
- Sufficient Beverages for weather conditions and snacks
Waiver(s) - You will receive an additional email with waiver(s) to print & bring to class. MINORS (16-17) - Participants under 18 years of age will be required to have a waiver form signed by a parent or guardian in PERSON at the training location, or it must be NOTARIZED. If you fail to do so, you will not be allowed to participate.
COURSE LOCATION- This course will be held at Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) WEST parking lot at the main campus. The main RCTC campus is located at 851 30th Avenue SE, Rochester. A map along with the waiver(s) and additional class information will be sent in an additional email.
Motorcycle Cancellation/Refund Policy - Rochester Community and Technical College reserves the right to cancel a class up to the day prior to the course start date. If a class is canceled within that time, a full refund will be issued. If a student is unable to attend their registered class for any reason, a refund (less the $45 processing fee) will only be issued if notification is given at least 5 business days prior to the start date of the class. No refunds will be issued if notification is received less than 5 days prior to the class. Please check with the Business and Workforce Education Office at 507-280-3157 for complete details.
