They will learn which vehicles must be inspected, which vehicles are exempt, know the different levels of inspections, which decal do they qualify for. They will learn the minimum inspection criteria as listed in 393 and the OOS criteria for two decals, how to properly fill out the Minnesota inspection form, proper application of the decals, and required record keeping, inspector & owner.  Individuals whose certification is about to expire must complete this re-certification course in order to renew it.

Inspectors are required to recertify every two years. Recertification must be completed before the expiration date of your certification. Once your certification expires, you are no longer able to perform inspections. If you do not successfully complete a recertification course within six months following the expiration of your certification, you must successfully complete the full certification course to be reinstated.  Please note: an audio version of the MIP test is available for any students that feel it would be beneficial, please request at time of registration.
