Description:
This course explains government involvement in ensuring a safe workplace.  It discusses safety in various situations, personal protective equipment and fire safety, health hazards, ergonomics, environmental responsibility and maintenance of a safe work environment.

Course Objectives
You will be able to:
  • Identify the responsibility for job safety, rights for safety and types of personal protective equipment
  • Describe safety procedures for chemical handling, tool use and material handling
  • Explain how to work safely with machinery, electricity and electrical equipment
  • Describe methods for providing fire safety, workplace health and a safe working environment
