MSU Nursing Assistant Course (5.6.24-5.31.24)

Description:
This Nursing Assistant (NA) course is approved by the Minnesota Department of Health. Learn basic nursing skills including how to take vital signs, provide personal cares and mobility assistance. Become prepared to work in nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities and home care agencies. Be guided by a team of registered nurses who care about your success!

Students who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate of completion and be eligible to take the Nursing Assistant Competency Evaluation to be placed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry. This course also fulfills the prerequisite requirement for entering the nursing program at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

This self-paced course includes an online D2L component and required on-campus lab sessions.  Access to the internet and a computer is required.

Course runs May 6, 2024 through May 31, 2024.

Attendance is mandatory for all online and in-person class hours.

Refund Policy:  Due to the popular nature of the program and limited availability, refunds will not be given for cancellations received 10 days before the class start date.

Course must have at least 20 participants in order to run.
