Fire Officer I

Description:
Fire Officer I administrative duties covered will include record keeping, managing projects, preparing budget requests, initiating and completing station maintenance requisitions, and conducting preliminary accident investigations. Supervisory duties that will be covered include making work assignments, conducting performance appraisals, end ensuring that health and safety procedures followed. The course is designed to meet the needs of the company officer as outlined in the National Fire Protection Standard 1021. This course is run completely online asyncrhonously. Students work at their own pace. Students may register for as many of the officer or instructor classes as they like up until the last day of registration. Students will have one optional in person session towards the end of the course to review material and hands on requirements.

Certification Exam: May 22nd, 2024, 9:00am to 12:00pm at Eden Prairie Campus (D145)
Written knowledge exam and in-person practical skills exam will be completed at this date and time.
