The 2-day seminar is designed with one purpose in mind-to help you pass your boiler operator exam. Whether you are taking a Minnesota Special Engineer or the Chief "A" licensing exam, this seminar will cover what you need. The state exam is given through the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. Training Outcomes/Program Agenda: The State will test you on (and the exam prep class covers) the following subjects: Thermodynamics, Boiler & System Types, Safety Devices, Instrumentation & Controls, Steam Systems, Feedwater Systems, Combustion Theory & Systems, Water Treatment Chemistry, Plant Operations, Plant Maintenance. Code Issues (MN, ASME, NBIC) and Numbers & Calculations.

This class will help you pass your boiler exam. Some study materials will be provided free of charge, but you should plan to take notes during class. Other study materials can be purchased via the website.

Unfortunately, this two day class is not enough time to prepare you for your exam while teaching all the fundamentals of boiler operations at the same time so you should look at the class as an exam prep only. The exam preparation seminar will cover the information needed to pass your exam. However, if you would like additional study materials, we recommend the following books and/or workbooks:

Bring to class: Proof of current licenses, paper and pen. Class is held in the Customized Training Solutions Building on the corner of Hillside and Main Street in Pine City. The building is across the street from Blaze/Spire Credit Union.

Course Cancelation Policy: For students requesting a cancelation, a full refund will be granted 5 working days before the start of a class. No refund will be made after that date.
