The 2-day seminar is designed with one purpose in mind-to help you pass your boiler operator exam. Whether you are taking a Minnesota Special Engineer or the Chief "A" licensing exam, this seminar will cover what you need. The state exam is given through the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. This class will help you pass your boiler exam. Some study materials will be provided free of charge, but you should plan to take notes during class. Other study materials can be purchased via the website.
Unfortunately, this two day class is not enough time to prepare you for your exam while teaching all the fundamentals of boiler operations at the same time so you should look at the class as an exam prep only. The exam preparation seminar will cover the information needed to pass your exam. However, if you would like additional study materials, we recommend the following books and/or workbooks:

Special Note: The state must receive your application 15-20 days prior to your testing date. Download an application following the link: http://www.doli.state.mn.us/CCLD/Boiler.asp. The address to send the application is located in the upper left hand corner of the application. It is the student's responsibility to get this boiler license application in to the state. Please note you may also complete the DOLI online exam application form to speed up the application approval process.
