Description:
Don Voegeli was the prolific composer who wrote the theme music for National Public Radio's "All Things Considered".  This theme song is still being used by NPR after almost 50 years.   Join us for an in-person lecture given by Don's son Jim Voegeli.  Jim will tell you all about his father, a University of Wisconsin professor, who worked as a music director and in other roles during his 41-year career at Wisconsin Public Radio.  Hear sound clips and samples of music that Don wrote for public broadcasting, national jingles in the 1950's and 60's, theater, television, and educational films.  As a bonus, everyone attending will be given a four CD set of music as well as a booklet containing a detailed history and linear musical notes.
