(8) 3-hour sessions, open for Welders looking to work on DIY welding projects and enhance their Welding skills or pick up and work on a new welding process.
Description:
The Welding Skills Lab is a place to come and enhance or sharpen your welding skills, work on welding projects, or adventure into a new to you welding process to build upon your current welding skills.
Come work with welding equipment commonly found in most light industrial shops, owner operated shops and farming operations. With the tools available and a qualified welding instructor by your side for guidance. You can expect to work thru project ideas and welding techniques to help bring your welding to the next level.
General welding processes include GMAW (Wire feed), SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG), and Oxy-Acetylene.
Some of the onsite lab equipment includes: Oxy-Acetylene torches, handheld plasma torches, manual press brake, chop saw, band saw, hydraulic metal shear, iron worker, and manual rolling equipment to tackle those DIY projects.
Bring to Class:
Bring your own project ideas and the materials to go with them or work with materials provided for welding on industry standard weldments and small projects.

Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and tools to bring on the first day of class:
- Welding Jacket
- Heavy and Medium-Heavy Welding Gloves
- 2C Style and Regular Vise Grip Pliers, Welding Pliers (Welpers)
- Safety Glasses
- Leather Work Boots
- Auto Darken Welding/Cutting Helmet with Filter Settings, ranging from 3-13
- Tape Measurer
- Hand grinder with grinding stones and sanding pads
- Small Tool Box for Storage
