Description:
This course has been designed to provide continuing education in nursing theory and clinical skills to Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses after a lapse in licensure or period of time out of practice. The Refresher Nurse will independently study modules in an online format and demonstrate hands-on clinical skill competencies. Topics will include anatomy and physiology, pathology, pharmacology, life cycle, medication administration, documentation, and nursing practice.
Dates: May 1 - June 26, 2024
Virtual (Zoom) Orientation: May 1, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Lab at Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Coon Rapids: June 25, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Required online course resources and textbook package is an additional $239.99 fee. A link to purchase the online subscription will be sent the week before class starts.
*Please note: Our Refresher Program is approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing. You must complete both the Nursing Skills & Theory Review class and the Nurse Refresher Practicum to complete the Minnesota Board of Nursing approved Nurse Refresher program.
Once enrolled, mail Statement of Intent to Participate in a Refresher course for Reregistration/Endorsement form to: Anoka Technical College, Attn: Laura Cleveland, 1355 West Hwy 10, Anoka MN 55303 . This form is available from the Minnesota Board of Nursing once you've filed for reregistration.
