Prepare for a career in the fast-paced field of Healthcare Sterile Processing. Central Service Technicians work in hospitals and surgery centers to clean, decontaminate, disinfect, sterilize, and distribute medical and surgical instruments and equipment. With classroom lectures, lab instruction and a clinical experience, students will be prepared to take the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association's (HSPA) Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification exam.
Class Dates: August 28 - December 13, 2024
Orientation: August 28 | 3:00 - 5:00 PM
Classroom: September 4 - November 25 (No Class 11/11/24) | Monday and Wednesday, 6:00-9:00 pm
-Class will be mix of online work, live virtual classes, and lab on campus
*Clinical Dates: December 2 - 13, 2024: Monday - Friday (Must be available for both day and evening shift) 80 Hours (full time)
Requirements:
Vaccination records and background check (additional $10.50 fee if fingerprinting is required) must be completed by September 4. Physical demands include standing for up to 8 hours, repetitive lifting of up to 25 pounds, and pushing/pulling heavy carts.
