Description:
AutoCAD Basics is a professional development, non-credit course, designed for high school teachers to learn the basics of AutoCAD software to implement as future curriculum. This course covers using the software to draw, modify, annotate, dimension, and print 2D drawings.
Students should have basic computer skills and should be able to open and save files to specific locations such as flash drives; send an email with an attachment; and download software and apps.
Content is provided online with demonstration videos created by the instructor. Assignments include exercises from the textbook using a student version of AutoCAD and participating in Office Hour Zoom sessions to match the timeline syllabus. Participants can work ahead of schedule. All assignments must be completed by August 21, 2024.
At the successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion for 32 hours of educational instruction.
The instructor is Erin Bulger, Northland's Architectural Technology & Design faculty member.
