Gain the skills and knowledge required to conduct basic fire inspections. You will learn to identify fire and life safety hazards and correctly apply fire code provisions to address the hazard(s) based on the Minnesota State Fire Code.
REQUIRED TEXTBOOKS: Fire Inspector: Principles and Practice (Revised Enhanced First Edition). The ISBN is 9781284137743. You should purchase the book prior to the start of class.
Bring a copy of the current Minnesota State Fire Code from your department to class.
The State Certification test will be an option for those who are interested. Information on test dates will be provided at a later date.
