#: CBEP    ID: 9154    Section: 120924
Description:
Dwight D. Eisenhower was the mastermind in the fight against Adolph Hitler and Benito Mussolini, leading the Allies to the ultimate victory in Europe. Eisenhower headed the newly formed North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), created to be a military buffer to Stalin’s efforts to spread communism. He then became president of the United States in a decade that saw a Red Scare, expansion of mass consumerism, racial tension, and an ever-escalating Cold War. This presentation looks at the life and times of this extraordinary man.
