Hell is part of everyday discussion across cultures, religions, and communities. Finding references to hell in pop culture, music, literature, and other mediums is plentiful! Within certain faith traditions, such as Christianity, hell is a real place where people go when they do not measure up to standards set by their faith community. But, is hell real? That is the question this course contemplates by engaging historical context and the influence of the arts.
