Description:
This course introduces the essentials of the HVAC maintenance to include the latest facts, figures and devices used to identify and diagnose system faults. It addresses the parts and techniques you will encounter every day as you service HVAC equipment. Emphasis is placed on troubleshooting techniques for the repair and replacement of heating, cooling and ventilation components.
The course objectives:
You will be able to:
Unit 1 - Describe the safe use of tools, the operation of furnaces and ventilation systems and electrical safety
Unit 2 - Describe refrigeration, refrigerants and refrigeration control
Unit 3 - Describe the operation of solenoids, relays, motors, condensers, compressors and evaporators
Unit 4 - Apply control and troubleshooting techniques to HVAC systems
You will be using the same textbook, HVAC Troubleshooting Guide, that was used for the Introduction to HVAC Troubleshooting class.
