Description:
This course takes advantage of the strengths of the traditional classroom and the cutting-edge, interactive technology of e-learning. Interactive training will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Learn advanced level skills and knowledge relating to medical emergencies, shock, and anatomy and physiology. The skills learned include CPR, defibrillation, airways, OB, patient assessment and treatment skills, with hospital and ambulance clinical time.
Due to the accelerated format, self-study is highly recommended.
Bring to Class:
This blended course will include online coursework (to be completed on your own time) as well as in-person skills sessions. The in-person skills sessions will be held at the Winthrop City Offices located at 305 N Main St in Winthrop.
Computer with internet is required. Fee includes textbook; National Registry exam fee is not included.
Please note: You will be required to pass a background check in order to become licensed as an EMT in the State of Minnesota. As part of this class, we are required to run a background check as well. The cost of the background check is included in the course fee, but you will have to pay the cost of fingerprinting to the fingerprinting company. Instructions will be emailed after class starts.
