The two parts of the MN State Registry Test for Nursing Assistants - the Knowledge Test and the Skills Test - are administered through South Central College - Customized Workforce Education. You must register for and pass both tests in order to be certified and listed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
TMU© Access
If you went through a NA training program, verify with your instructor that you are marked complete in TMU© at least 5 business days before the test so that we can schedule you for the test event.
- If we cannot schedule you in TMU© at least 5 business days prior to the test, you will be considered a No Show and required to pay the full test fee to re-register.
If you are a challenge/test-out candidate, please indicate this when you register and you will be set up with a TMU© login approximately 5 days before the test.
For any TMU© login issues, call D&SDT-Headmaster for assistance at (800) 393-8664.
Download and review the MN Candidate Handbook for full testing details and study resources.
The Knowledge Test consists of 70 multiple-choice questions in English. You will have a maximum of 2 hours to complete the test. An Oral/Audio test option is also available, which candidates must select in their TMU© profile prior to testing. You will take the virtual Knowledge Test from your own home or other distraction-free location of your choosing. Do not come to campus for this test.
