With the emergence of artificial intelligence and virtual reality, we face both increased access to information, as well as disinformation. With many of the world actors distorting older patterns of truth, how do we respond? If what we do is based upon what we read and see, and we cannot depend upon what we think is reality, what is truth and how will we know the difference? We have always faced the possibility of lies. The new technologies can distort the truth and affect our concepts of governance, friends, enemies, and what our lives should be. We will discuss the impact of this on our lives.
