Description:
This lecture explores the start of Area 51 as a CIA research facility for unconventional aircraft, and how that activity spurred interest in the flying saucer legends, extraterrestrial aliens, and the lore that Area 51 has come to mean. Although Area 51 is off-limits to visitors, that doesn’t stop the curious from coming up to its perimeter in search of answers to all the tales about Area 51 (which is about 60 miles north of Las Vegas). The lecture contains science, much history, and a bunch of fun!
