This FMCSA approved course will provide behind-the-wheel instruction on the operation of a CMV (Commercial Motor Vehicle) including the topics: Basic Control and Maneuvering, Traffic, Emergency Procedures, Safe Operating Procedures, and Advanced Operating Practices. The focus is to prepare the participant for CDL Licensure. After training is successfully completed, the candidate will be entered into the Training Provider Registry (TPR).
Behind-the-Wheel-Range
- Covers 7 learning objectives as outlined in the current standard
- Takes place in North Mankato, MN, or in other locations where a suitable range training site is available
- Train according to skill level
- Must successfully complete all objectives before advancing to the next section
Behind-the-Wheel-Road
- Covers 12 learning objectives as outlined in the current standard
- Train according to skill level
- Must successfully complete all objectives before taking the behind-the-wheel CDL road test
