Hybrid Nursing Assistant - Fergus Falls

Description:

This is a hybrid course. The theory portion of this course will be completed by students asynchronously (independently) online using D2L, our online learning platform. The first week of this class is completely done online (please view the schedule below for specific dates/times). The skills and supervised practical training portion of this course will be completed in-person on the campus you are assigned to for skills and clinicals will be held at a long term care facility.

Students must complete all asynchronous work successfully with a passing score of at least 75% on all quizzes/exams, attend mandatory Zoom sessions, and attend all in person skills labs and supervised practical training days.

Each student must complete a combined total of 59 clock hours of theory and lab (skills) and a minimum of 16 hours of supervised practical training.

Expected Attendance Requirements: Students are expected to be in 100% attendance during classroom, skills, and clinical work experience. Any questions can be directed to your instructor regarding classroom or clinical attendance.

Cancelation: Class cancelations must be done five full business days before the class start date. No refunds for cancelations of less than five full business days. Refunds will not be issued for anyone registered for a class and does not show or attend. (No Shows – A no call, no show is an absence from the class without notifying Workforce Development Solutions within the required time). Space in this course is limited, we ask that you call our office as soon as possible if you do not plan to attend.

Mantoux/TB skin test - The student/facility/employer pays all fees associated with the TB mantoux test. These must be current within 90 days for clinical and must be completed within the first two weeks of class.
DHS Background Study Clearance - M State pays to initiate your background study ($44). Students are responsible for the $10.50 fingerprint fee that may be required in addition to the study.
The COVID Vaccination is NOT required, we do have to report your vaccination status to the nursing home prior to clinicals though.
