The Certificate of Completion in Dental Radiology is designed specifically to prepare unlicensed dental assistants to deliver dental radiological services. The certificate program will consist of 80 hours of didactic, lab and clinical hours and will be offered through the Hennepin Technical College Customized Training Solutions division. Upon successful completion of the course, the unlicensed dental assistant will be eligible to take the required examinations necessary to apply for a limited radiology license.
Admission
All participants must be currently employed in a dental office and working as an Unlicensed Dental Assistant. A signed affidavit or sponsorship from a Licensed Dentist is required. Unlicensed Dental Assistants are supervised clinically by the dentist.
