The WSU Retiree Center is offering another day trip opportunity to see a fantastic musical in the Twin Cities. On Wednesday, May 7th, we will be heading to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater in Chanhassen, MN to see a matinee performance of Grease!
About Grease:
Greased-back hair and leather jackets, ponytails and poodle skirts, fast cars and rock’n’roll, Grease is back at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres! Experience the nostalgia of high school in the ‘50s – peer pressure, love, and teenage life set against the campy backdrop of Rydell High! Discover the drama, comedy, and pop-culture satire that has made Grease one of the most popular productions of all time! Don’t forget the music, with songs like “Summer Nights,” “We Go Together,” “Greased Lightnin’,” “Beauty School Dropout” and so many others, including the hits you love from the movie. Have fun as you groove and bop along!
Our seats require climbing 17 stairs. If you have any mobility issues, please contact me before you register.
Before the play begins at 1:00 p.m., we will enjoy lunch at the Chanhassen. Click here for the menu. Here is what is included with your dinner:

The gratuity for these items is also included in the price of the trip.
* Soft drinks, alcohol, appetizers, entrée upgrades and desserts are available for purchase at your table. The gratuity would not be included for these extra items.
*The menu offers a variety of entrée selections and Gluten Free and Vegetarian options are available. The Chanhassen makes every effort to avoid cross contamination; however, they are not a dairy, gluten, or nut free facility. Contacting the theater the day of or one day prior does not allow enough time for their staff to respond to your concerns.
Here is our itinerary:
8:15am – Board bus at Elks Parking Lot (4540 Service Drive, Winona)
10:45am – Arrive at Chanhassen Dinner Theater
11:00-12:45 – lunch at the theater
1:00pm - Showtime
3:00-3:15 - Board the bus for Winona
5:45-6:00pm – Arrive at the Elks Parking Lot
The cost of the trip is $140/person and includes your ticket to the play, dinner at the Chanhassen, and the bus ride. This ticket price does not include a tip for the bus driver, so please bring a couple dollars if you want to leave the driver a tip at the end of the evening.
We have reserved 30 tickets for the play, so please register soon if you’re interested! Remember, you do not need to be a WSU retiree to go on this trip. The trip is open to everyone! I hope you can join us!
RETIREE CENTER DAY TRIP CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:
If a day trip must be canceled due to insufficient enrollment, inclement weather, or emergency circumstances, you will be notified as soon as possible and receive a full refund. You may cancel your registration and receive a full refund if we receive your withdrawal and refund request in writing, via email, mail or in person, at least five full business days before the date of the trip.
