Machine Tool Camp
Unlock the world of manufacturing and precision machining at Lake Superior College's Machine Tool Summer Camp! This hands-on camp is designed for teens ages 14-18 interested in learning about the exciting field of machining and manufacturing.
The camp offers participants the chance to explore cutting-edge tools and technology used in the machining industry. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on learning, campers will gain real-world experience with tools like lathes, mills, CNC machines, and other essential equipment.
Campers will:
- Learn the fundamentals of machine tool operation and safety.
- Gain experience with CNC programming and setup.
- Work on individual and team projects, creating real parts to take home.
- Meet industry professionals and explore potential career pathways in manufacturing and engineering.
This camp provides a unique opportunity for young learners to develop skills that are in high demand across various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and robotics. Whether you're exploring a future career or just looking to try something new, the Machine Tool Summer Camp at Lake Superior College is the perfect place to start! This camp will take place June 9-11, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Lake Superior College’s main campus. Lunch is included.
