Description:
Never played guitar before? No problem! Learn the basics of holding a guitar, using a pick, music notes, scales, phrasing, finding backing tracks, and playing in the right key. Making music is easier than you think! We will spend four days learning how to turn some easy scales into our own music so you can play solos in any style you want. You will learn everything you need to sound good, so even if you’re just beginning your guitar journey, we will be jamming together in no time!
RCTC will provide ¾ and full-sized acoustic guitars for the students to use during the week of camp. Students who already have an acoustic guitar are encouraged to bring their own.
Grades: 3-12 including recent 2025 high school graduates
Requires parent-signed release form, emergency contact information, and photo release form
RCTC reserves the right to cancel or postpone the camp in the event of low enrollment, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. If the camp is canceled, refunds will be issued.
