A Commercial Learner Permit (CLP) is required before you can receive your CDL Class A or Class B license. You must have a valid Minnesota Class D license and be 18 years of age to obtain your CLP.
Students that do not have a CLP and are wanting to complete their Commercial Driver License Class A or Class B must have a CLP before behind-the-wheel training.
