Description:
This focused, one-day course is designed to enhance your confidence and proficiency in administering local anesthesia. You'll receive an in-depth review of anatomical landmarks and injection techniques, with practical strategies for addressing common challenges and understand how factors like age, weight, and medical history influence anesthetic dosing and the use of modern agents. This course can only be taken if you have already completed a local anesthesia training course as it is just a refresher.
You may choose any or all of the following injections to practice in the clinic:
- Maxillary injections: supraperiosteal, anterior superior alveolar, middle superior alveolar, posterior superior alveolar, nasopalatine, greater palatine
- Mandibular injections: supraperiosteal, mental/incisive, inferior alveolar, lingual, buccal
Note: Injection techniques will be practiced on each other & clinical models. Pregnant women may attend this course, but will not receive injections.
