Digital Accessibility Basics

Description:
You may have heard that the US Department of Justice recently updated the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) with specific requirements for cities and other local governments. These requirements affect your  websites, digital documents, mobile apps, and other web-based information. Jay Wyant, the State’s Chief  Information Accessibility Officer, will present on this new rule. Attend to learn more about what the rule means for you and how it impacts the work you do.

NOTE: 
  • This class is eligible for CMC (Certified Municipal Clerk) ONLY credit with verified attendance (Web cam must be on in order to be considered "present" for the class) and a completed/passed learning assessment. You will receive an automatically-generated certificate after passing your assessment, and it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to keep track of this certificate, and save it for future application submissions. If you do not wish to receive  CMC credit, attendance and a learning assessment are not necessary.
  • This class is also eligible for CEU's (Continuing Education Units) for an additional fee of $15. Please note that CEU's are different than IIMC credit.  Add into your cart when registering.
Cancellations and Refunds
  • A refund, minus a $25 processing fee, will be granted if you cancel by November 9, 2025.
  • No refunds will be provided for cancellations received after November 9, 2025.
