This comprehensive mental health training program is designed for aspiring mental health professionals who want to build a solid foundation in the field and for employers seeking a high quality, verifiable training source for new hires that meets the Minnesota Statue 245I.05, subd.3 initial training requirements for non-licensed mental health workers.

Eligibility
- Participants must have completed high school.
- Program completers must be able to pass a criminal background study to gain employment in the field.
Program Structure
- This self-paced online training program includes 30 hours of training.
- Each learning module includes 1-2 learning assessment activities and a module exam.
- A final exam is administered at the end of the program.
- Students must pass all assessments at a rate of 80% or above to fulfill program requirements to earn a Mental Health Worker: 245 Essentials badge.
Minneapolis College faculty have determined that this training program is equivalent to Minneapolis College courses HSER 1002 Multicultural Aspects of Human Services and HSER 1053 Current Issues in Trauma Informed Care; two courses found in the Human Services Diploma and A.S. Degree programs.

ONLINE COURSE SCHEDULE:
This is a self-paced course. You should expect to spend a minimim of 30 hours to complete course requirements.
Refund Policy - You must drop your course registration at least seven (7) business days prior to the start date to receive a refund. You will receive a refund if Minneapolis College cancels your course. If you fail to appear, you or your company will be responsible for full payment regardless.
Cancelation Policy - While we regret having to do so, it is sometimes necessary to cancel courses with insufficient enrollment.
