The Building Science Principles (BSP) Certificate of Knowledge is an introductory credential in energy-efficient home performance. It teaches key building science concepts and terminology, focusing on how different home systems—like insulation, HVAC, ventilation, lighting, and appliances—interact to impact comfort, health, safety, and durability. The course emphasizes that improving energy efficiency is a foundational step before pursuing renewable energy solutions like solar or geothermal.
