Description:

2026 Middle School Summer Career Academy: "Discover Your Future"

What is the Career Academy? The Summer Career Academy is a hands-on "test drive" for future careers. Designed specifically for middle school students, this three-day experience moves beyond textbooks and puts students in the driver’s seat—literally! Whether they are building a project in the construction shop, coding a new program, or touring emergency vehicles, students will discover how their interests in school connect to high-demand, high-paying careers in our region.

Why Should Your Student Attend?

  • Hands-On Learning: Every pathway is designed around "doing." Students will create, build, or experiment every single day.
  • Professional Mentorship: Students don't just learn from teachers; they interact with medical professionals, builders, and tech experts.
  • Pathways to Success: This camp introduces students to Career and Technical Education (CTE)—a modern way of learning that combines academic knowledge with technical skills.
A Look Inside the Pathways:
  • Build & Create: In Construction and Manufacturing, students take home physical projects they designed and built themselves.
  • Health & Safety: In Health Sciences and Public Safety, students use real-world medical and emergency equipment.
  • Tech & Innovation: In IT and Transportation, students explore the "brains" behind our computers and the engines that move our world.
The Perkins Advantage: This program is supported by Perkins funding, ensuring that our local students have access to the latest equipment and industry-standard technology during their time at camp
