26.08.11 Discount Bundle: Diesel Engine Electrical & Emissions Diagnostics
#: HBTI    ID: 6538    Section: 02
Description:
By registering for this option, you will be registered for both the Diesel Engine Diagnostics & Electrical Training on March 10, 2026, and Diesel Emission Systems & Diagnostics on March 11 & 12, 2026.
In Diesel Engine Diagnostics & Electrical Training, participants will learn about computer systems used on medium/heavy duty trucks. The emphasis will be on the study of input devices, ECM operation, and output devices. During this course, participants will identify components, test their operations, and retrieve and program data in accordance with manufacturer’s procedures and OEM on-line data.

Participants will learn:
  • Basic electrical knowledge and review.
  • Types of electrical diagnostic tools and how to use them.
  • Laptop software and hardware and how to use them.
  • Types of input & output devises and how they function.
  • Retrieving data from various Electronic Control Units and interpreting that data.
  • Using OEM manuals, wiring diagrams, computer information systems, and the internet to locate service, repair, and troubleshooting information.

In Diesel Emission Systems & Diagnostics, participants will learn about emission systems and how to diagnose them on today’s medium and heavy duty trucks. This course is used to improve their skills and understanding of how the emission system works and how to diagnose common problems that often arise with the emission systems on diesel engines.

Participants will learn:
  • Emission Control Systems: Understand the components and operation of emission control systems in diesel engines and be able to diagnose and repair related issues.
  • Diagnostic Techniques: Develop proficiency in using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot common issues on a variety of diesel engines.
  • Electrical Systems Knowledge: Gain a thorough understanding of the electrical systems on diesel engines, including sensors, actuators and processing systems.
  • Fuel System Diagnostics: Learn to diagnose and repair issues related to the fuel injection system, including injectors, fuel pumps, and filters.
  • Safety Practices: Demonstrate knowledge of safety practices and procedures when working with diesel engines and electrical systems.

Hands-on sessions will provide practical experience, allowing participants to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their technical skills and gain a deeper understanding of the complex systems that keep drivers comfortable and safe while operating vehicles.

A half-hour break for lunch will be provided.
