Participants will learn about emission systems and how to diagnose them on today’s medium and heavy duty trucks. This course is used to improve their skills and understanding of how the emission system works and how to diagnose common problems that often arise with the emission systems on diesel engines.
Participants will learn:
- Emission Control Systems: Understand the components and operation of emission control systems in diesel engines and be able to diagnose and repair related issues.
- Diagnostic Techniques: Develop proficiency in using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot common issues on a variety of diesel engines.
- Electrical Systems Knowledge: Gain a thorough understanding of the electrical systems on diesel engines, including sensors, actuators and processing systems.
- Fuel System Diagnostics: Learn to diagnose and repair issues related to the fuel injection system, including injectors, fuel pumps, and filters.
- Safety Practices: Demonstrate knowledge of safety practices and procedures when working with diesel engines and electrical systems.
Hands-on sessions will provide practical experience, allowing participants to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their technical skills and gain a deeper understanding of the complex systems that keep drivers comfortable and safe while operating vehicles.
A half-hour break for lunch will be provided.
