Course Description:
This one-day course educates you how to conduct renovating and remodeling activities in a lead-safe manner. This course is for persons who conduct or oversee non-abatement lead-based paint activities. This course satisfies the training requirement to obtain EPA Renovator Certification under the EPA Renovator, Remodeler, and Painter Rule.
Topics Covered:
- Background information on lead, health effects of exposure, and regulations.
- How to conduct interim control and non-abatement activities.
- Worksite preparation, clean-up, and disposal.
Who should take this course?
Weatherization crews, contractors, and supervisors performing renovation or repair work in older housing stock covered by WAP.
Prerequisites:
There are no prerequisites to take this course.
