Description:
In this course students will gain the knowledge, skills and abilities to operate, maintain and control a mechanical wastewater treatment facility. The physical concepts and alternatives for preliminary and primary treatment will be covered. Then the biological treatment options of rotating biological contactors and trickling filters will be evaluated. Based on laboratory and mathematical analysis the students will be able to connect the information to confirm plant performance.
