Start Up North Accelerated is an 8-week intensive cohort for aspiring and new small business owners. Held online Monday and Wednesdays from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., September 14 through November 4, this Kauffman FastTrac-based program helps participants take their business ideas seriously, test feasibility, understand their market, and built a stronger path forward. Participants should expect to commit about 10 hours per week between live sessions and independent work.
Throughout the cohort, participants will work through key business-building topics including ideation, positioning, marketing, financial projections, startup assistance, refining strategy, and preparing to launch. The goal is for each participant to walk away with a lender-ready business plan, realistic cash flow projections, and a clearer understanding of how to start, grow, and sustain their small business. Start Up North Accelerated will be facilitated by Alison Medeck, North Central SBDC Professional Business Consultant and Executive Director of the Economic Alliance, and Katie Heppner, Regional Director of the North Central SBDC.
