Description:
HVAC Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning covers all aspects of residential and commercial HVAC systems. This includes HVAC fundamentals, types of HVAC equipment, load calculations, residential and commercial control systems and maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing procedures. The main focus is on HVAC equipment operation (mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems) and related safety practices. Developments in fuel combustion efficiency, heat pumps, control systems, and system design are also covered. Students should be familiar with a volt-ohm meter. The cost of materials and the textbook are included in the course fee.
A typical class schedule will be Tuesday & Thursday from 6:00 pm-10:00 pm for 12 weeks.
